I gave my life to Jesus when I was in junior high.  As I think back over the years of being a Christian, there are two things I know to be true. One is that the Christian walk is a walk of faith, and the other is that God is a very faithful and good God.

My father was a pilot in the Air Force when we moved to Tucson in 1967.  In 1968, when I was 12 years old, he was shot down while flying his last mission in Vietnam.  That was the first time I realized the faithfulness and goodness of God as He saw my family through this very difficult time, providing for us in every possible way.  After graduating from NAU in 1978 and coming home to Tucson, I became involved in the youth ministry at Christ Community Church. It was on a CCC youth retreat that I met my soon-to-be husband, Pat.  Again I experienced God's faithfulness and goodness in giving me a husband who would love me unconditionally. We were married in 1979.  Pat became the youth pastor at Christ Community Church and I served along side him as we ministered to high school kids.  After five years at Christ Community Church Pat received a call from Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock asking him to become their youth pastor.  In 1984, Pat and I and our two-year-old son, Matthew, moved to Little Rock where I continued to work along side Pat ministering to teenagers.  While living in Little Rock we were blessed with two more children, Mark and Kaitlin.  In 1989 with the support of our church in Little Rock, we moved back to Tucson where Pat started Tucson Fellowship Bible Church. I saw God's faithfulness and goodness as He, once again, provided for our every need during this transition.  In 1994, our six-year-old daughter, Kaitlin, was diagnosed with type I diabetes.  And then a year later, Matthew, 14 years old, was diagnosed with the same disease.  In the midst of thinking I would never be able to handle this, God showed me just how faithful and good He is and that I could trust Him in all things even with those whom I dearly love.  That's when I truly began to realize that our walk as Christians is a walk by faith, not by sight.  After serving along side Pat in a number of support roles, in 2004 I began sensing God's call to specifically minister to the women of our church, which I did in various capacities.  God, again, was faithful in preparing the way and in 2006 I officially became the Women's Coordinator at Tucson FBC.  My heart for women is two-fold:  that we put on love for one another, the perfect bond of unity (Col 3:8), and we encourage one another to run the race that God has set before us, never giving up (Heb 12:1-2).

As I think back to when I started my walk of faith with Jesus in junior high to where I am now, I can only thank God for His faithfulness and goodness.
